Welcome to the World of Tasheka Lou

Hello and welcome! I’m Tasheka Lou, a Media and Communication student at the University of Technology, Jamaica, majoring in Journalism and minoring in Advertising. My journey in media began in 2017 and officially took shape when I earned both my Diploma in Media and Communication from Barbados Community College and my Certificate in Media and Communication (Specialized in Radio) from Distinction College under the General Broadcast Academics programme.

I first entered the broadcast world as a co-host on the school magazine programme Distinction 411, an opportunity that opened the door to my first solo show, Evenin’ Melody on Bess 100 FM. That experience laid the foundation for my signature programme, On the Air with Tasheka Lou, which became a trusted space for honest conversation and creative storytelling.

Since then, I’ve expanded my craft through voice-over work, on-air production, and television collaboration with CVM TV on projects such as coverage of the Copa America Football Tournament. This portfolio reflects that evolution – where voice, visuals, and story meet purpose.
