About Me

I’m Tasheka Lou, a media professional with Caribbean roots – a Bajan father and Jamaican mother – and a deep passion for creative communication. My early entry into radio began with Distinction 411, where I discovered my ability to connect with audiences through conversation. That experience inspired my first solo radio project, Evenin’ Melody on Bess 100 FM, a programme that strengthened my presentation, scripting, and production skills. I later created and hosted On the Air with Tasheka Lou, a show known for authentic dialogue, meaningful interviews, and uplifting energy. Beyond radio, my work spans multiple areas of media and communication:

  • Co-producer, Talk Up Youth Radio on Nationwide 90 FM
  • Panelist, TVJ’s Talk Up Youth television programme
  • Collaborator, TV production projects with CVM TV, including coverage of major sporting
events such as the Copa America Football Tournament
  • Voice-over talent for private schools and corporate clients
  • Event host / Emcee for live productions and community events
Each experience has allowed me to merge creativity with professionalism – building content
that informs, inspires, and connects people.
